Healing begins when we uncover how past pain connects to the present. Together, we can find understanding, relief, and lasting peace.

Jennifer Pollock, LCSW

EMDRIA Certified Therapist

EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training

Hello! Since 2002, I’ve been honored to help people move from darkness and distress toward light, hope, and lasting strength. Together, I help clients uncover the connections between their past and present pain, as well as identifying themes in the pain, opening the door to deep healing and growth.

I walk alongside those facing: anxiety, depression, trauma, dissociation, chronic pain, complex medical issues, relational issues, and women’s concerns.

I have been trained in and utilizing EMDR therapy since 2002, and I have found it to be incredibly productive and successful for many challenges in life. I offer ongoing therapy as well as EMDR Intensives, and I enjoy consulting with clinicians on their EMDR questions and for certification goals.

I also utilize other evidence-based therapies such as: Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative, Gestalt, and Solution-Focused, to name a few. We will see which therapeutic approaches would fit the best for what you would like to accomplish.

I attended Gordon College (in MA), Gordon-at-Oxford (in England), and New Mexico State University. I was a clinician with Southwest Counseling Associates for almost 20 years, and since 2021, I have been in my own private practice alongside some of these previous colleagues.

In my spare time, I enjoy walking, running, hiking, gardening, photography, painting, playing ColorKu, playing the piano, and singing (much to my family's chagrin)!

What is EMDR?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy, developed in the late 1980’s, has been widely recognized and utilized around the world in more than 130 countries for its effectiveness in helping people heal from trauma and a broad range of other distressing experiences. Rather than erasing memories, EMDR transforms the way they are stored and experienced — allowing painful events to lose their mental, emotional and physiological intensity.

As this process unfolds, old negative self-beliefs are replaced by authentic, positive understandings of who you are becoming today — in your thoughts, emotions, and body. With these new neural connections, you begin to experience a greater sense of freedom, resilience, and clarity, empowering you to move forward with confidence and purpose.

EMDR Intensives

EMDR Intensives offer a powerful opportunity to move toward healing and hope more efficiently and effectively. This unique experience is ideal for people who want to make meaningful progress in hours or days—rather than over many months. Think of it as an investment in your well-being and your future. In many cases, it can also be more cost-effective in the long run.

Even if you’re already in therapy, an EMDR Intensive can be a valuable way to focus on a specific issue or chapter of your life before returning to your ongoing work—whether that is with me or another therapist. I always appreciate collaborating to ensure that your care is seamless and well-supported. I offer Intensives in-person (not through telehealth), and you may come into Colorado from any other state to do this worthwhile work.

The process can be intense, but so is the healing that follows. I’ll help you prepare with tools for soothing and self-care, and together we’ll plan a pace that feels safe, steady, and empowering. My goal is for you to feel supported every step of the way—before, during, and after your Intensive.

If you’re curious, reach out for a free consultation. We can explore whether an EMDR Intensive or ongoing, weekly therapy would be the best place to start your journey toward lasting relief and renewal.

Ongoing Therapy

Walking through weekly or biweekly therapy allows us time to establish deeper trust and build a solid working relationship. Sometimes having the consistency of this schedule and the time in between sessions to practice new skills is the best fit for how you are wanting to grow. I am available for both in-person and telehealth sessions.

I currently still take Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare (Optum). However, please be aware that insurance companies are now essentially requiring that they have access to the complete clinical note from every session.

"When I started seeing Jennifer… I was dealing with a lot of trauma-induced fear and anxiety, and I was very emotionally fractured. Using EMDR therapy, she helped me to face my many painful memories and traumas, and to reduce their emotional intensity to a more manageable level.  I am so much freer and more peaceful as a result of the work I did with her.  Jennifer is an amazing counselor - she's kind, perceptive, and very skilled at helping people work through any difficult issues they may be facing.  I highly recommend her!"

“Working with Jennifer Pollock through EMDR therapy has been truly life-changing. The mental health healing I’ve experienced under her guidance has been profound, and I continue to see her regularly. Our recent sessions using the pain-focused EMDR process have brought not only deep emotional relief but also remarkable physical healing. I am genuinely grateful for the care, skill, and compassion Jennifer brings to every session.”

~ Amalia

“I’ve done EMDR in regular therapy sessions that were 50 to 75 minutes long, but the EMDR intensives have been so much more effective for me. Having four hours gives me time to really stay with the process and go deep enough to get to the core of what’s going on. I’m able to make real progress…

The longer sessions have helped the intensity of past situations go down, and I can feel things settling in a way that brings more peace and freedom. I’ve been able to get to the root of past trauma and find genuine healing.

Jennifer has been an amazing and safe guide through it all. She creates such a grounded, compassionate space that makes it possible to do this kind of deep work. I’m so grateful for her and for the progress I’ve experienced through EMDR intensives.

~ Elizabeth
